Eastbourne Roller Disco is often asked to provide prizes for raffles, events and fund raisers. We are very happy to do this… but not in the way you are probably expecting… read on!
Tickets
We are usually able to provide an A4 PDF that prints 4 DATED tickets for you to print as required. Given the tickets are DATED, you need to ask for them AS LATE AS POSSIBLE.
If you like to get organised and ask for tickets now for a draw running in a months time… our prize will be out of date before you run the draw!
Numbers
You probably think it’s quite reasonable to ask for a prize here and there from a business, but of course you don’t want to be too pushy, so you just ask for one or two vouchers etc.
HOWEVER – We do this alot… so we know what the likely response will be. It’s about 5%.
Let that sink in…
So if you “sell” 100 winning tickets with us as a prize, we might on a good day see 5 people at the roller disco.
And we have space for 400 …
With this in mind we want, perhaps counter intuitively, to be the LEAST prize on offer, not the top ONE. We want to be the prize you win, just for showing up! Ideally 1000 tickets, with a 1000 winners ! Then we might see 50 people.
Exclusions
We don’t ever provide tickets that cover Halloween, Christmas, or other special events. These events are super popular and we don’t need free tickets on those dates.
Also note our Opening Times page, you might like to avoid getting tickets that cover times when we might have closures, limiting the “value” of the prize. EG. July & August the Family Saturday session is usually closed due to the weather.
Note also, very HOT or very COLD times of year could also limit the “value” of the prize (also covered in the above link). It is worth understanding these points before committing to prizes at certain times.
